Our focus of the tiny tots program is fundamental movement skill games and activities in a fun environment. It is non-competitive and give young athletes an introduction to some of the skills they will use in athletics for older age groups.
The tiny tots program activities concentrate on developing key areas such as:
- following instructions
Some of the events we offer include
- mini hurdles
- balance beam
- running races
- parachute games
- long jump
- ball skills
- shot put
- obstacle courses
- the occasional jumping castle!
Tiny Tots program commences at 5pm and will conclude at 5.45pm.
During the season as the weather warms up our activities may include water activities so please let your co-ordinator know if you do not wish for your child to get wet.
Like all of our events, Tiny Tots is completely volunteer run and is not a drop off service. We rely on parent involvement each week to make things happen. All activities will be organised by your co-ordinators and the more helpers we have, the quicker we can move through the program.
We hope your child will have a great time learning new skills while increasing their fitness levels and making friends.
